Promotions Representative

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Events & Promotions Representative will be responsible for execution of all events and promotions held at JACK ThistleDown Racino. Essential functions include preparing promotion areas for promotions and events, executing promotions, assisting patrons participating in promotions, ensuring that promotions/event areas are stocked with necessary supplies, displaying collateral material for promotions and events, verifying guests' qualification for entry, tracking players and verifying qualification for promotions, ensuring data accuracy, promoting ClubJACK programs and card membership, verifying all funds or gift card values, ensuring accountability of all transactions, balancing and maintaining promotions bank, ensuring that all prize-winner forms are completed properly, tracking inventories and expenses, acting as a role model, meeting attendance guidelines, and other duties as assigned by department. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include excel and Microsoft office knowledge at an above proficient level, ability to work independently, ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time, ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts, ability to maneuver throughout all areas of the property, ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., ability to respond to visual and aural cues, ability to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment, ability to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights, ability to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed, ability to simultaneously manage several projects, ability to speak distinctly and persuasively, and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Education and experience include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, previous experience in the hospitality, retail or casino industry, ability to get along with co-workers as a team, and a well-groomed appearance. Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license.
