divh2Deli Manager/h2pNino Salvaggio is currently looking for a Deli Manager for our Troy location./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliEffectively direct and supervise all functions and activities of the deli department personnel in order to achieve the sales, profit and labor goals established for the department./liliDirect and coordinate activities involved with production, sale and distribution of all deli products./liliWork closely with the cheese department to ensure optimum operations in both departments./liliDevelop department merchandising and budget plan and department goals with the general manager./liliPlan product distribution and negotiate with suppliers to arrange purchase and delivery of deli products and supplies./liliInterview, hire, train and develop a productive team of associates including assigning work, performance appraisal, reward and disciplinary action./liliBecome familiar with all products carried in the deli department including being fully knowledgeable in the differences (in price, taste, preparation or use) between the many varieties and types of deli items offered./liliAddress and resolve customer and employee complaints in a quick and effective manner./liliFollow approved procedures for receiving product, dating, price marking and restocking cases./liliCheck and verify department merchandise received to ensure that all items listed on vendor invoices are delivered per quality standards./liliReview all new products with the General Manager./liliOrder and maintain inventory control to ensure freshness and product quality./liliMaintain good communications in the store and throughout the organization./liliEnsure favorable department image to customers by maintaining a clean, sanitary, attractive and friendly department./liliComply with safety policies and procedures and ensure that all department personnel comply with safety policies and procedures./liliGreet customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service and/or assistance, per our company customer service standards./liliMotivate associates to achieve company sales and customer service goals./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulliPrevious deli department management experience, required./liliMust have reliable transportation./liliHigh school diploma or GED, required./liliFood Management Certification, required./liliMust be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods./li/ulh3Benefits:/h3ulliHealth/liliDental/liliVision/liliShort term disability/liliAccident/liliHospitalization/liliCritical illness/liliCancer/liliLife insurance/liliFlexible spending/liliEducation reimbursement/lili401K match/liliEmployee discount/liliCompany paid life insurance policy/liliCompany paid LTD policy/li/ulpIf you are interested in this position, please follow the 2 step application process which includes a formal application after some initial questions./ppEOE/ppCompensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour/p/div
