you have a role in helping customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service through managing and leading one of the busiest teams in our store./ppAssist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit/ppResponsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team./ppEffectively coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork/ppResponsible for maintaining freshness standards throughout the department, by following proper receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of a complete variety of items./ppAssist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive./ppAssist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Produce team/ppUnload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain produce equipment/ppEnsure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Produce team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures./ppIf youre someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, then we want to hear from you!/ppQualifications/ppTo be an Assistant Produce Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market you must:/ppBe at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures./ppBe dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays./ppHave and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and have the ability to interact with our customers./ppHave good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment./ppPerform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (including tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.)./ppAdhere to all safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including COOL, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit./ppBe able to perform the following: standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4 to 72, for a distance up 3 feet for between 10-50 hours without mechanical assistance./ppBe able to use a pallet jack to move pallets a distance up to 20 feet, requiring a force of up to 85 pounds for up to 5 hours./ppBenefits/ppIn addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
