Shift: 1st - Shift 5am - 3:05pm M-F Pay Rate: $22.00 Position Overview The Material Handler position is responsible for management of inventory, supporting utility workers to help deliver raw materials to the bag lines at the best efficiency possible, and loading and unloading shipments. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to: o Company and facility Policies o Safety
LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules o Quality
PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures o SOPs
Methods for performing work o SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean) o Good Manufacturing Practices o Food/Safety Security o HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) o Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications Must be proficient in inventory management and accuracy When the finished goods staging lane is full, Material Handler will move product to the proper rack and inventory locations Supply all raw materials to the prep and staging area for the Utility workers Assist operators and QA to assure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is appropriately placed on hold for the Quality Facilitator's review and decision Work as a valuable team member throughout the production room to accomplish the business goals: Help inspector/packers and bag machine operators as needed o Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line o Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements Communicate in a positive and respectful manner to resolve all issues Complete all documentation accurately Ask for help when the need arises Assist in the training of other personnel in the material handling department Qualifications Experience & Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED. Computer skills: Basic computer skills, warehouse management software (WMS) Other Requirements: Forklift certification preferred and the ability to work safety and effectively with minimal supervision.
