Mate - Tug Vanguard
We're actively hiring a Chief Mate for our LNG Tug Vanguard operations in Savannah, GA. The duties include but are not limited to perform all duties and responsibilities of assisting in safe operation of tug under supervision of the Tug Master, follow safety procedures and guidelines pertaining to regulatory guidelines. Also responsible for deck duties pertaining to LNG barge to include but not limited to, making fast, stowing lines, painting, chipping, greasing deck equipment and following orders of the master of the vessel. Minimum Qualifications/Experience: Mate 500GT Near Coastal Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR) Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch (OICNW) STCW with all required endorsements Valid TWIC Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into Canada or other nations. Working Knowledge of LNG Cargo Operations Ability to demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in all aspects of Towing and Navigation. 540 days (1.5 years) on board a towing vessel in a supervisory capacity. Computer efficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance Based Programs. Preferred Qualifications/Experience: Master 500GT Near Coastal Mate of Towing Near Coastal Master of Towing Near Coastal LNG experience This position does require the candidate to join the Seafarers International Union (SIU) as a condition of employment. All benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and pension will be provided through the union. Work Schedule: MUST have the ability to report to work within two (2) hours of notification in and around the Savannah area. Pay: As per CBA
