Sales Associate
The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.). Reports To: Store Management
Position Overview Greeting customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting. First Impressions Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code. Store Standards Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness. Product Information Provide customers with current relevant information about the product. Fitting Room Service Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale. Cash Wrap Efficiency Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer Gift Cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database. Customer Appreciation Sincerely thank all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store. Cooperation & Dependability Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management. Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule. Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties. Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%. Perform housekeeping duties as required. Personal Performance Meet or exceed the Sales per Hour (SPH) result as assigned by management. Miscellaneous Responsibilities Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions. Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company. Participate in all inventories. Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management. Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts. Job Requirements
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Previous retail experience preferred. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
