Garage/Parking Lot Attendant
Under the supervision of the Building Superintendent, the Garage/Parking Lot attendant will attend to and manage vehicles parked in City of Boston garages and parking lots. Responsibilities
Manages the operation of a parking garage or lot in a safe manner, including access control for authorized users. Directs users to available spaces and restricts access when the garage or lot is full using verbal communication, hand signals, flashlights, signage, or other communication, as required. Parks and/or moves authorized vehicles. Ensures parked vehicles do not inhibit vehicle access to exits, entrances, loading docks, and other vital locations. Collects parking fees from customers and assists motorists with payment transaction equipment, as needed. Issue ticket stubs or place numbered tags on windshields, give customers matching tags for locating parked vehicles, and keep accurate records. Lifts, positions, and removes barricades in order to open or close parking areas. Performs related duties as requested. Minimum Entrance Qualifications
A current valid Massachusetts driver's license. No criminal record. CORI check required. BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED Terms: Union/Salary Plan/Grade: SEIU/RL1-10L Hours per week: 40
