Pay: $19-$20/hour depending on experience Responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to all walk-in and call-in customers. Essential Job Duties: Greet every customer as they walk through the door and maintain friendly contact throughout their shopping experience. At checkout, implement suggestive selling techniques, as appropriate, and assist with problem solving. Order any out of stock, special order items, create purchase orders, transfers, and follow up with customers by phone calls to completion of invoice. Maintain orderly files and clean records of all transactions, as well as accurate cash drawer. Restock and clean/maintain showroom cleanliness Coordinate orders from the warehouse to ensure customers' orders are ready in a timely fashion to achieve APO's excellent level of customer service. Solicit new accounts using every means available to seek out new business and rebuilds old accounts by researching former customer listings. Assumes other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong customer service background. Must be able to communicate effectively. High School or G.E.D. Equivalent Required College coursework desired. Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts required Prior customer service experience preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to establish priorities and demonstrate effective time-management skills. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Able to communicate effectively with others, and have strong problem-solving skills. Must be Bi-Lingual English/Spanish Machines, Equipment, and Software: Able to safely learn to / operate: Order Picker, Forklift, pallet jack, pull cart and ladder. Must be able to use a computer, multi-user telephone system, RF Scanner. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires individuals to regularly be on their feet except when operating machinery, or performing supervisory responsibilities. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 60 lbs regularly. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The noise level is moderately loud.
