Inside Sales Specialist
Flambeau, Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist responsible for managing packaging and proprietary product sales within assigned accounts. This role focuses on building relationships, expanding Flambeau's product range, and pursuing new business opportunities. Success requires a strong understanding of Flambeau's Proprietary Products and Packaging product lines and the ability to sell the value-added capabilities these products offer. This position is hybrid with working at the Madison, WI office 3 to 4 days a week. Essential Duties: Develop a solid understanding of packaging and proprietary products, including features, benefits, and value-added propositions. Clearly and concisely, articulate product line breadth, advantages, and value through various communication platforms (phone, email, web, catalogs, etc.). Gain comprehensive knowledge of all PPG and Packaging product lines, sales policies, terms, and conditions. Understand proprietary product market applications and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape. Take ownership of assigned account sales, including product positioning, pricing, margin management, and long-term profitability. Leverage Flambeau marketing tools and internal resources to maximize customer engagement and sales growth. Represent Flambeau in all negotiations, agreements, and programs, including sales allowances, rebates, managed inventory, and related services. Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) per company policy, ensuring accuracy and timely completion; document and archive per company procedures. Coordinate sales-building activities between assigned accounts and internal teams (Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Credit, and Operations). Collaborate with Sales Leadership to identify target prospects and execute business development initiatives. Conduct outbound sales calls to grow sales with existing customers and prospects using leads from the web, industry lists, trade shows, and other marketing tools. Coordinate and participate in customer visits and plant tours as needed; some travel may be required. Participate in sales forecasting, expense planning, and budgeting processes for assigned accounts. Monitor engineering changes (ECRs) affecting material, component, or burden costs, and adjust pricing in alignment with margin goals and guidelines. Maintain knowledge of proprietary molds, including location, condition, and useful life. Document any special customer requests or negotiations outside standard procedures and escalate as appropriate. Set performance goals for major accounts, designing tailored sales programs for various trade segments. Keep comprehensive, up-to-date records of key accounts and maintain strong relationships within these networks. Develop and submit annual and three-year sales forecasts for assigned business.
