Why you should apply to be a Shipping Specialist: Hourly pay rate: $21/hour Day shift schedule: 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. Lunch and breaks are paid! Long term temporary role Opportunity to work in a cutting-edge card manufacturing company Strong emphasis on safety precautions and employee well-being What's a typical day as a Shipping Specialist? You'll be: Preparing and shipping all outbound shipments including parcel, freight, and international Processing outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx and other various shipping software and/or customer portals Utilizing computer systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office software including email, word, excel. Preparing all outbound pallets for shipment including finishing, wrapping, and palletizing of product Operating powered industrial trucks including forklifts, powered jacks, etc. Accurately completing all necessary paperwork for all outbound shipments Taking calls and setup delivery appointments for all outbound shipments Loading and unloading delivery trucks Following DOT regulations and safety standards Assisting Receiving as needed Maintaining a clean and safe environment This job might be an outstanding fit if you: Have a high school diploma or equivalent Have at least 2 years of experience with forklifts and working in shipping Have experience processing outgoing shipments using UPS, FedEx and other shipping software and/or customer portals Have intermediate knowledge of PC and database programs, including ERP systems, printing labels, word processing, excel spreadsheets, and Outlook Have effective verbal and written communication skills Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift up to 65 lbs. Have the ability to move and position yourself to operate on, under, and around machines
