Renaissance Benefits is seeking an experienced Specialty Markets sales professional to join our growing team in 2026! At Renaissance, the Specialty Markets Sales Executive will promote and sell all Renaissance Group and Individual products to clients in all specialty markets, working with General Agents (GA's), Third Party Administrators (TPA's) exchanges, affinity groups and all decision makers as well as key contacts within the specialty markets. Acts as the liaison between Renaissance and all specialty market key contacts to ensure an understanding of all products and services to meet individual sales goals. What will this role entail? Leads and develops strategies to acquire new business for the corporation to meet sales goals. Creates and builds relationships with the agent/consultant community and general agency relationships where appropriate. Develops and maintains relationships with all key contacts and decision makers in specialty markets. Initiates, contacts and follows up on sales meetings with qualified prospects to identify needs and close sales. Directs and conducts sales presentations and site visits with prospective clients. Identifies and attends sales or related functions such as conventions, conferences, seminars, etc. to further develop business knowledge or prospect potential. Assists in the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategy, goals and objectives within their market. Maintains knowledge of product lines and financial arrangements in the marketplace. Recommends new marketplace strategies, products and services for implementation to distinguish Renaissance as a marketplace leader. Conducts and participates in the implementation of all new business and is ultimately accountable for the smooth transition and assimilation into Renaissance policies, procedures, and processes. Prepares and reviews various reports and correspondence including annual market plans, sales activity and status updates and expense reports. Seeks and participates in many industries and professional organizations related to specialty markets to develop relationships and improve knowledge of needs and opportunities to write new business. Builds and maintains strong, collaborative home office relationships with the executive team, underwriting, actuarial, HR, and administrative support to assist in closing profitable business and facilitate client satisfaction and loyalty. Continually monitors competitor's products and creates strategies to win business from those competitors. Works with marketing to develop a strategy to create more awareness of the Renaissance brand in the market. Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned. What must I possess to qualify? Position requires a bachelor's degree in sales, business, marketing, or related field and five years of direct experience in a sales or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Requires a life and health license in all states in assigned territories or must obtain one within three months of employment. Requires advanced verbal and written communication skills along with strong negotiating and persuasion abilities. Ability to translate business strategy into directions, plans and measurable objectives. Must be able to analyze and resolve problems and use independent judgement.
