We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Agent to join our dynamic team. The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role involves building relationships, assessing client needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and exceptional customer service skills. Responsibilities
Maintain and manage a book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Conduct thorough assessments of clients' insurance needs and risk exposures. Develop and present insurance proposals and coverage options to clients. Negotiate terms and pricing with insurance carriers to secure the best coverage for clients. Stay current with industry trends, products, and regulations to provide informed guidance to clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and industry partners. Handle client inquiries, claims, and policy changes in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and company goals. Qualifications
Hold the insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of two years commercial lines insurance account management experience as well as a Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience. Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects. Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations. Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow up skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision. Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.
