Job Description Job Title: Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Special Procedures Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: One year related job experience required License: Registered as a Radiologic Technologist Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Must-Have: Cath lab experience required Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program required
Description: Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician, performs specialized radiographic procedures. Also performs general diagnostic procedures as required. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider's orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients and families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures the efficient operation of workflow. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of service. Performs other related duties as required and directed.
