As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products. This role ensures incoming and outgoing shipments are properly documented, verified, and processed in a timely manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production schedules. Location: Charlotte, NC Hourly rate: $18-$22/hour Please note that the hourly rate range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in NC. We Take Care of Our People Paid Time Off 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing Health and Wellness Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Referral Program Competitive Pay Recognition Employee Stock Purchase Plan Inclusive & Supportive Culture Your Challenge: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading Identify and report discrepancies such as damage, missing, or incorrect materials Properly label, tag, and record received materials in inventory systems Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, and Production on nonconforming material Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging Create shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, ASN, etc.) Schedule pickups with carriers and verify shipment accuracy Ensure compliance with customer, carrier, and regulatory shipping requirements Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories Move materials to proper storage or production locations Keep warehouse areas organized and compliant with 5S and safety standards Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely Follow all safety procedures and company policies Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding material flow Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and material handling What You Bring: High school diploma or GED required 13 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and part numbers Basic computer skills (ERP, inventory systems, Microsoft Excel/Outlook) Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Effective communication and teamwork skills Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment Knowledge of inventory accuracy, lot control, and traceability Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods Comfortable working in warehouse or production environments
