Parts Counter and Sales Representative
A Parts Counter and Sales Representative assists the sales team by searching for and generating sales leads for the Alliant Power Sales Team and Network. Make phone calls to potential customers as well as existing customers to follow up on and gain new product business. Work with Alliant Power Regional Sales Representatives in closing newly gained business and provide new customers with follow up. Key departmental responsibilities include: Identifying revenue opportunities, using the Diesel Forward Sales Pipeline as a guide. Follow up on open leads as a means of generating new business with Alliant Power. Prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales for Alliant Power Account Managers. Making contact with prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the pipeline. Working closely with Technical Service, Warranty, Customer Service, Marketing, and Pricing personnel. Supporting product launches by communicating with the Alliant Power Network through phone conversations to ensure awareness of product offerings. Responding to requests from customers for information. Engaging in technical discussions with potential customers. May conduct virtual demonstrations and/or presentations. Remaining knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the industry. Operating within conformance of the Quality Management System. Working with the parts counter and customers in location. Parts lookup for customers. Back up to Service Writer in Fuel Injection Shop. Seeking out ways to provide continuous improvement within Diesel Forward. Performing other duties and assignments as required. Providing feedback on system needs/changes. Skills and qualifications include a bachelor's degree preferred, experience in customer service/sales, computer skills with Microsoft Office experience required, high motivation and initiative level, and the ability to multi-task.
