Job Title: PCB eCAD Engineer - DX Designer

Location: Warren, MI

Job Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PCB eCAD Engineer who can take complete ownership of PCB eCAD design activities, from schematic capture through final manufacturing release. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, ensure high-quality deliverables, and provide technical guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end PCB eCAD design activities including schematic to Gerber release.
  • Perform PCB placement, constraint definition, layer stack-up creation, and power plane design.
  • Route electrical nets with proper length matching and signal integrity considerations.
  • Set up and manage design constraints using Constraint Editor System.
  • Support panelization activities using Fablink and manage design variants.
  • Generate PCB documentation, drawings, and manufacturing deliverables.
  • Interface with customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, manufacturing, validation).
  • Guide, mentor, and support junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, manufacturing, and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in PCB eCAD design.
  • Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition Layout and DxDesigner VX.
  • Experience with PCB eCAD libraries and EDM flow.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Constraint Editor System
  • Fablink (Panelization)
  • Variant Manager
  • Drawing Editor
  • Strong understanding of PCB design flow from schematics to Gerber.
  • Experience in Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal designs.
  • Expertise in high-speed PCB routing, power planes, creepage and clearance rules, and length matching.
  • Working knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as SATA, DDR4/DDR5, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, PMIC, etc.
  • Exposure to RF board design.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in documentation and Gerber release activities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree (BS/BA or AS/AA) in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
