Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Senior Python Developer to join our Cyber Security organization. As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software systems primarily using Python, SQL, Bash, Javascript, and other related technologies. • You will be working on expanding and maintaining our Django web application, building, and maintaining Plotly Dash-based visualizations, building, and maintaining Python-based ETL applications, researching emerging technologies, and helping us manage our server infrastructure. • You will work with Cyber business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into building and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs • You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of internal clients • You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and standards while utilizing development standards including well-documented testing. • You will continuously review our software systems and identify areas for improvement, implementing new features, and optimizing performance; You will stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to software systems as appropriate. • You will aid with performance optimization and security testing initiatives to improve the underlying architecture of the various systems and environments. • You will build interactive data reporting and visualizations using Plotly Dash, D3.js, AG Grid, and other tools that best meet the requirements of our business users. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field • 10+ years of experience in software development using Python (including Django) and SQL • Build scalable and high-performance web APIs hands-on experience • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices, including Agile methodologies, version control, continuous integration, and testing. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software systems. • Experience integrating front-end and back-end technologies such as Django and FastAPI • Experience with front-end technologies used in conjunction with Django • Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure and services in a corporate setting. • Experience with secure coding principles and security best practices • This role is expected to lead 1-2 junior Python developers Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is a premier global financial services firm, known for premium service, specialist expertise, technology solutions and partnership approach to client management.
