*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
* Assist the periodontist with a variety of periodontal procedures, including surgery and implant placement.
* Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for procedures.
* Take digital X-rays and scans.
* Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to infection control protocols.
* Provide patient education on periodontal care such as treatment plans, oral hygiene and post-operative care.
* Collaborate with the periodontist in developing personalized treatment plans for patients.
* Manage patient records and ensure they are up to date.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
* Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft.
* Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in CA.
* Previous experience in periodontal or surgical assisting is highly preferred.
* Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
* Proficiency in dental software.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
