The West Portland/Hillsboro, Oregon Veterans Administration Community-Based Outpatient Clinic is seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician for our outpatient clinic in Hillsboro, Oregon. This opportunity is part of the Portland VA Medical Center, which provides services through an integrated network of care facilities and a distributed system of outpatient clinics and hospitals throughout Oregon. The Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC) is a 303-bed medical center that provides primary care to local veterans and serves as a quaternary referral center for veterans in Oregon, southern Washington, and parts of Idaho. Last year, 80,000 patients were treated within the PVAMC system.

The Health Care Clinic operates under the PACT Model (Patient Aligned Care Team). Together with your team, consisting of a PCP, RN, LPN, and a Medical Support Assistant, you will care for a panel of approximately 1,200 patients. The PACT team provides comprehensive care for our Veteran population, including diagnoses, care, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. Common conditions include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain. The position is Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Candidates must be board certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine and demonstrate leadership and administrative capabilities. A strong motivation to promote staff education and development programs, along with a commitment to professional enrichment, merit promotion, equal employment opportunity, and positive labor relations, is essential.

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday (minimal call for abnormal labs)

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
  • Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
