Metric Geo is partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor to find a talented Estimator to support transportation projects, specifically in roads and bridges. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to complex infrastructure projects, provide accurate cost estimates, and help drive project success.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and equipment estimates. Analyze historical project data to develop reliable cost projections. Assist in preparing bid packages and maintain thorough documentation. Monitor conceptual estimates versus actual project costs and support cost control. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and efficient estimating processes.
Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute). 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or transportation projects preferred. Strong knowledge of construction materials and ability to read engineering drawings. Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
