About the Role

We’re hiring an Editorial Director to lead our newsletter properties, including Thesis Driven and The Buy Box . This senior role comes with substantial creative control—you’ll shape the voice, direction, and editorial strategy of our publications. You’ll work closely with partners Brad Hargreaves and Paul Stanton, collaborating on vision while executing with independence.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit high-impact weekly letters for Thesis Driven and The Buy Box
  • Plan editorial calendars and special series
  • Collaborate with guest writers to bring stories to life
  • Interview industry leaders for feature content
  • Analyze subscriber data to refine editorial strategy
  • Experiment with new formats, tools, and distribution channels

Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a proven track record
  • Deep understanding of real estate and capital markets (financial models, investment structures, policy)
  • Strong editorial judgment and reader intuition
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies shaping the built environment
  • Collaborative, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving environment

Compensation & Location

  • Salary: $175,000/year + benefits
  • Location: New York City preferred; remote considered
