This is a 12-month W2 contract assignment with the opportunity for contract extension or to transition to a permanent, full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Shift/Hours
- This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA; 3 days per week onsite
- Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Identify new opportunities and craft long-term strategic plans for products and capabilities
- Understand clients’ top needs and position Cox Automotive to drive value in the marketplace
- Interact directly with customers, external business partners, and cross-functional internal teams to shape strategic direction
- Collaborate closely with executive leaders, business stakeholders, product teams, and corporate strategy teams to ensure alignment and shared methodologies in product design and development
- Support the development of product strategies across Cox Automotive
- Collaborate with executive leaders, cross-functional partners, and business stakeholders to craft and refine product strategies that drive company and client growth
- Engage with business leaders to analyze and uphold core revenue streams through alignment with foundational business strategies
- Conduct market and opportunity analysis to identify new growth avenues and assess potential for new product offerings and lines of business
- Perform a full range of analysis to ensure proposed opportunities align with strategy and enhance long‑term success from multiple perspectives (technology, products, services)
- Advise management on identification, evaluation, and execution of potential acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and/or internal start‑up opportunities
- Direct various workstreams to understand how initiatives may impact and benefit the business
- Align strategies across Cox Automotive to contribute to shared end‑state and market‑oriented outcomes
- Coach product leaders (AVPs, Directors, Sr Managers) to ensure their product lines are aligned to a strategic north star
- Develop and sustain deep subject matter expertise in the evolving landscape of auto retailing, wholesaling, ownership, and fleet maintenance
- Identify opportunities to consolidate or coordinate capabilities that cross solution sets/delivery streams and build
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 10 years’ experience in a related field, or a master's degree and 8 years’ experience, or a Ph.D. and 5 years’ experience, or 14 years’ experience in a related field
- Experience in automotive, strategy consulting, or technology consulting
- Strong strategic formation background with experience developing long‑term strategies or initiatives
- Proven ability to transform ideas into actionable plans and recognized for innovative thinking
- Experience in market analysis, data‑driven decision‑making, and performance metrics
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies, including advanced frameworks such as root cause analysis
- Ability to adapt strategy based on real‑time feedback and changing conditions
- Ability to identify and allocate adequate resources—financial, human, and technological—for execution
- Ability to develop comprehensive product strategies outlining capability, target customers, and positioning
- Proven ability to facilitate workshops with cross‑functional teams (R&D, marketing, and other business leaders)
- Proven ability to lead using influence within highly complex, matrixed teams
- Proven ability to deliver high‑impact presentations to C‑suite executives, using data visualizations to convey complex information
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or relevant certifications preferred
- Top‑tier strategy consulting background preferred
- People leader experience preferred
- Corporate strategy experience preferred
- Must have exceptional business acumen, able to diagnose issues and suggest solutions based on experience
- Technical/technology competence (not expected to write code but able to partner with architecture on technical approaches)
- Product management experience (able to write product strategies)
- Must be able to operate using influence across a complex organization
