Group Creative Director (Austin or NYC Based)

JetFuel is seeking a visionary Group Creative Director (GCD) to lead our creative department, overseeing all agency accounts and ensuring the highest level of creative excellence.

Base Pay Range

$165,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee a creative team, setting the vision and ensuring the highest standards of creativity, innovation, and execution.
  • Provide creative direction for all client work, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and brand positioning.
  • Guide and mentor Associate Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Art Directors, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Partner with strategy, client services, and production teams to develop integrated, results-driven campaigns executed with excellence.
  • Present creative concepts and campaign strategies to clients, executive leadership, and internal stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Oversee creative messaging, ensuring it aligns with brand storytelling and consumer engagement strategies.
  • Drive new business efforts, developing creative pitches, presentations, and proposals that showcase the agencys capabilities and vision.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep the agency at the forefront of experiential and advertising innovation.
  • Ensure seamless execution of campaigns, collaborating with production teams to maintain creative integrity, production excellence, and feasibility.
  • Maintain accountability for the departments creative output, setting performance expectations and optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the JetFuel brand through thought leadership, representation across the industry, championing innovation and partnership.
  • Collaborate with and maintain relationships with freelancers and partner agencies within the Stagwell network.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of creative experience, with a strong background in experiential marketing, advertising, and design leadership.
  • A portfolio featuring work across various categories, including CPG, lifestyle, and technology.
  • Proven experience in a creative leadership role, overseeing multidisciplinary teams in an agency environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy, messaging, and execution across digital, print, social, and experiential channels.
  • Strong understanding of above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) advertising, with the ability to integrate them into cohesive campaigns.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with experience pitching ideas and leading client relationships.
  • Ability to think both conceptually and strategically, balancing big-picture ideas with executional feasibility.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including strategy, production, and client services.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing creative talent, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
