Position Overview
The Department of University Advancement at Stevens Institute of Technology seeks a creative and motivated federal work-study student to join its Strategic Content team as a Student Content Creator.
In this role, the student will help produce engaging photo and video content for Stevens’ institutional Instagram and TikTok channels. Content will highlight the Stevens experience, strengthen the university brand and connect with the student community.
This position is ideal for a student who enjoys visual storytelling, follows social media trends and is interested in building a professional content portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Capture high-quality photo and video content for Stevens’ institutional Instagram (@followstevens) and TikTok (@stevensinstituteoftech)
Work 8–12 hours per week during the academic year
Edit and format content to meet platform-specific requirements
Stay current on social media trends, viral formats and emerging editing styles
Qualifications and Skills Experience or strong interest in content creation, photography or videography (class projects and personal work welcome!)
Familiarity with editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom or Canva
Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram and what performs well on each platform
Strong eye for storytelling and detail
Ability to attend campus events, including local off-campus events as needed

Compensation Range In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the hourly range for this position is $15.92. This range represents the University’s good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
