OF LITTLE CHUTE The Village of Little Chute, WI is seeking a self-motivated and hard-working laborer to join its Public Works, Parks & Forestry team. We’re located in the Fox Valley area along the Fox River. Little Chute is a full-service community with a population of 12,182. Our workplace culture is built on collaboration and respect. This position will report directly to the Public Works, Utilities, and Park, Recreation and Forestry Foremen. Applicants should be experienced in a variety of semi-skilled or skilled tasks. Work involves the safe, responsible, and efficient operation of equipment such as tractor back hoes, end-loaders, street sweepers, dump/plow trucks, lawn equipment, power tools, and hand tools. The core hours of work are Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM. Some weekend and work after hours may be needed including but not limited to emergency call-ins for weather-related events. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or a valid certificate of equivalency from a vocational system, the State or Armed Forces. Priority will be granted to candidates with experience operating heavy construction equipment, Aquatic Facility Certification, and/or Individual Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification. One to three years of work-related experience is desired, but an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. We offer a comprehensive benefit package including the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) health insurance with opt-out provision, fully paid dental insurance, long term disability and life insurance, numerous voluntary benefits, and the exemplary Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension plan. This position is non-exempt from FLSA and has a starting wage rate of $26.62 (Step 1 on an 11-point scale) depending on qualifications.
