We’re building a next‑gen newsroom designed for this unique moment in our industry. The ideal candidates must be conversational and authentic to drive connection with our audiences across all platforms. The Reporter should be passionate about owning the story every step of the way, from pitch to producing, writing, shooting and editing. We want CBS Atlanta to be a great place to work so candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills plus enthusiasm for fresh ideas and teamwork. Responsibilities

Deliver stories that lead newscasts and perform high‑energy and engaging live shots. Shoot and edit breaking news, day‑of‑air and special projects ensuring all pictures and sound are of the highest quality and accurately recorded. Enterprise character‑driven stories, break news and advance headlines. Establish and maintain relationships/sources within the communityli> Quicky gather and verify its accuracy, disseminating critical information for air. Write crisp, conversational copy that engages viewers. Must be able to interact with viewers/users on social media sites. Collaborate effectively with colleagues in News, Digital, Promotion, Production and Engineering on daily assignments and special projects. Perform other duties as assigned by editorial leadership. Qualifications

B.A. degree in a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of reporting experience in a top‑30 market. Extensive knowledge of the Atlanta market; including issues and topics that matter most to the community. Strong videographer and editing experience, will provide additional storytelling training. Prior experience in‑live reporting with both live trucks and backpack streaming video preferred. Must be curious, creative, results‑oriented and committed to teamwork. Able to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 news environment in addition to standard hours. Maintain a valid driver’s license. Equal Opportunity
