SAIC is seeking a qualified and experienced
United States Space Force (USSF) Subject Matter Expert
to join our team at
Vandenberg Space Force Base and Los Angeles Air Force Base in California .
As a DRRS SME you will collaborate with USSF leadership and various stakeholders, such as other subject matter experts, training developers, software requirements analysts, and agile development teams to deliver actionable insights, ensure readiness compliance, and enable data-driven missions.
DRRS is the Department of Defense’s authoritative source for readiness. It is used as a common framework to report personnel, equipment, mission readiness, and top concerns impacting readiness. DRRS data supports the global force management process by providing timely and actionable information to senior leaders and decision makers, allowing them to weigh options and make decisions informed by objective data in support of the National Defense Strategy.
Responsibilities
Research and support readiness RFIs and data requests from USSF HQ, Field Commands, Deltas and Squadrons.
Coordinate with and support hit execution of readiness reporting initiatives across the Space Force, ensuring mission data is accurate, aligned and actionable.
Assist with the semi-annual readiness report to Congress (SRRC) and the Joint Force Readiness Review (JFRR).
Conduct DRRS readiness audits, ensure compliance with reporting requirements and timelines, reports findings and make recommendations to USSF leadership based on trends.
Train DRRS users, assists with training development and training management efforts.
Prepare executive level correspondence, white papers, review and provide content/comments on Space Force instructions and Policy.
Maintain the Space Force Mission Essential Task list including binning and standardizing tasks across the space force where applicable.
Assist DRRS users with system access, troubleshoot USSF DRRS user issues and data inaccuracies to ensure timely, policy-compliant reporting.
Serve as an administrator for USSF DRRS, including table management for personnel, equipment, critical packets, training, and other unit management.
Work with requirement analysts and the DRRS development team to improve USSSF DRRS tools.
Qualifications Required Education
Bachelors and ten (10) years or more related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Qualifications
Knowledge of USSF missions, organizational structure, personnel, training requirements and equipment.
Proficiency in readiness reporting and direct experience with the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).
Proven ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences, including senior military leadership.
This position requires full-time onsite work.
Demonstrated expertise supporting General Officer-level staff and in-depth expertise with DRRS and readiness reporting processes is preferred.
Clearance
Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
