Selectek is seeking an experienced Life Safety/Security System Designer for our partnering company near Austin, Texas. This firm focuses on large-scale advanced manufacturing projects. Employment Type: Contract (Expected 12 months+) Expected Pay Range: $43.07-$60.09 per hour, based on certifications and experience High school graduate or equivalent • At Least 3-5 years' AutoCAD experience, (preferably Revit experience) • Systems design experience with, Security Surveillance, Access Control and Intrusion detection systems • NICET Security certification. • ASIS International Advanced Security Worldwide • Manufacture's equipment certifications 3-5 years of systems design experience • Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code • Knowledge of Security systems and manufacturer's equipment • Industrial design experience Perform computer-aided drafting and design of Life Safety and Security Systems for our client's advanced facilities. • Our designers are responsible for the delivery of complex packages in coordination with multi-disciple engineers and design leads that form the core of our Life safety Systems delivery team. • Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you'll create a 3D model space in coordination with architects and engineers. From those 3D BIM models, you'll design Security Surveillance, Access Control and Intrusion detection systems. • In addition to modeling work, our designers perform calculations, apply NFPA and ICC codes, and other standards to model content, and specify equipment at the direction of the engineering staff.
