Assistant Lifestyle Editor
Good Housekeeping is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Assistant Lifestyle Editor to help bring the brand's signature lifestyle content to life across digital and print platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Write smart, engaging, and timely content for GoodHousekeeping.com
- Pitch fresh editorial ideas in the home, holiday, and lifestyle space for both print and digital
- Research, write, produce, and/or update 23 stories per day for the siteincluding gift guides, crafts, decor galleries, and product roundupswith a sharp, voice-y tone and SEO-optimized packaging
- Collaborate with the art, photo, and craft styling teams to create dynamic visual content
- Assist editors with production tasks such as building print stories online, image sourcing, research, and fact-checking
- Contribute to multi-platform brand initiatives, including video, social media, events, and membership programs
- Support home decor and lifestyle content on TikTok and Instagram
- Ensure all content is inclusive and reflects the diversity of our audience
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of post-grad experience writing lifestyle content
- Excellent writing and editorial skills with a sharp eye for detail
- Deep understanding of the Good Housekeeping brand and its audience
- Strong interest in home decor, holiday entertaining, and lifestyle trends
- Snappy, clear writing style with a creative flair
- Familiarity with SEO and e-commerce best practices
- Experience with CMS platforms; Photoshop skills a plus
- Exceptionally organized and capable of juggling multiple deadlines
- Collaborative, proactive, and excited to grow
- Hybrid role based in NYC with 4 days in-office required

The base salary for this role is between $60,000 - $61,200. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
