JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager - LATAM will focus on expanding NNR South American and NNR USA markets by generating new sales, maintaining and expanding NNR South American and NNR USA with existing Customers.
Duties & Functions
Essential:
- Generate new sales and maintain and expand business with existing customers between NNR Latin American and NNR USA offices.
- Develop sales and marketing strategy for Latin American and US market.
- Cultivate relationships with NNR offices in Latin America. Act as primary contact for all business-related questions and requests.
- Conduct market research to identify export/import opportunities. Follow up on sales lead in the US.
- Complete or assist with RFI, RFQ for Global Accounts.
- Join in joint sales call with NNR USA's local Global Account Managers and Account Executives. Participate in joint sales calls with NNR Latin America sales personnel on a bi-yearly basis.
- Coordinate and lead development with other Sales Team and Global Account Managers in major bids.
- Collaborate with NNR offices worldwide to increase shipments to and from Latin America.
- Maintain accurate CRM data, including leads, opportunities, contact and competitor information.
- Support LATAM Agents with sales and other inquiries for shipments worldwide. Perform general business sales outside of LATAM projects,
- Assist in completing Monthly Sales Reports to NNR USA Head Office.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
- Business related bachelor's degree.
- Five years of experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Proven experience in sales and customer service techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of international and domestic freight forwarding industry.
- Excellent math skills to calculate freight, storage, duty and other charges.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Physical requirements:
- Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Overnight travel required, including foreign travel to LATAM countries.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
