Key Responsibilities
* Advise clients on commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development.
* Negotiate and draft contracts related to real estate financing and transactions.
* Assist in due diligence processes for real estate deals, including title reviews and assessments.
* Provide legal guidance on affordable housing projects and public finance matters.
* Collaborate with corporate attorneys on transactions involving real estate components.
* Stay updated on real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Barred in NY
* 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law.
* Strong knowledge of real estate lending, finance, and affordable housing regulations.
* Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
