Sr. Financial Analyst - Retail

The
Sr Financial Analyst -Retail role supports the financial activities of Home Centers with: month end closing, financial analysis and reporting, as well as day to day financial activities
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate results
Responsible for financial reporting including analysis, interpretation and communication of monthly financial results; lead deviation analysis and explanation of key performance drivers; assist with monthly forecasting
Prepare month end journal entries related to consumer rebates, contract allowances and other incentive accruals and payment
Provide adhoc analysis including but not limited to customer and product segment profitability, margin analysis, and cost reduction
Provide adhoc support to commercial team; developing reporting and tools to help drive financial results ensure KPIs are met.
Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, including accounting, marketing, credit, and supply chain
Assist in development of annual plan for all Home Centers
Assist in monthly tracking, reporting, and clearing of Accounts Receivable; review monthly aging reports and assist in researching and processing claims related to returned goods/customer deductions
Qualifications
The candidate must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in an accounting or finance related field.
Minimum of five years of Finance, Accounting, or Business experience required
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide detailed information to management in a summarized and succinct manner.
Must have ability to analyze and interpret financial data and determine appropriate course of action.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to react quickly to change.
Highly proficient in MS Excel required
SAP and S-Base Oracle experience
Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase Reporting/Hyperion Planning preferred
Prior Accounts Receivable experience desirable
