Heavy Equipment Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stone manufacturing and material handling equipment. This role focuses on mechanical systems, including chains, pulleys, motors, conveyors, and related production machinery. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑focused, and experienced in minimizing downtime in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on stone manufacturing equipment
Maintain and replace chains, pulleys, bearings, belts, motors, and gearboxes
Troubleshoot mechanical failures on conveyors, saws, crushers, and polishing equipment
Perform equipment inspections and document maintenance activities
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics
Conduct welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for repairs
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability
