Position Overview The
Construction Superintendent
is responsible for managing daily field operations across residential and commercial reconstruction, remodeling, and disaster recovery projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, this role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards.
This is a hands‑on, field‑driven role ideal for a self‑starter with a general contracting background who enjoys coordinating subcontractors, solving problems in real time, and working autonomously. The right candidate is comfortable stepping in to self‑perform minor punch list or finish tasks when needed to keep projects moving.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations for reconstruction, remodeling, and disaster recovery projects.
Schedule, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
Drive project schedules, identify risks, and proactively resolve delays.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, approved plans, and quality standards.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Inspect workmanship and manage QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle.
Track progress and communicate updates, field conditions, and scope changes to the Project Manager.
Support punch lists, client walk‑throughs, and closeout activities.
Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and internal teams.
Represent Elite Contracting Group on‑site with integrity and accountability.
Assist with minor finish or carpentry tasks as needed to maintain momentum.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in residential or commercial reconstruction, remodeling, or restoration.
Strong general contracting background with solid field leadership experience.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience scheduling and managing subcontractors and trades.
Excellent time management, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Hands‑on mindset with a willingness to jump in when needed.
Carpentry experience (nice to have).
Disaster recovery or insurance restoration experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000–$85,000 (commensurate with experience)

Work Location Requirements
Field‑based role with limited hybrid flexibility.
