Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking an experienced Printer II to join our team in La Crosse, WI.
Hiring Hourly Range:
$19.95–$25.27
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Safely operate departmental printing equipment, digital ink jet press, digital toner press, and 2‑color jet press to produce high‑quality printed materials with close registration. Formulate and mix inks as required.
Output plates from DPX System; perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
Operate departmental bindery equipment such as collator, folder, cutter, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Clean and maintain departmental equipment including presses, collators, folder, and cutter.
Work directly with internal and external customers when called upon to clarify job details or make changes regarding materials, colors, etc.
Provide backup press operation in the absence of Lead Printer.
Provide training to other employees as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience:
A high school diploma and three (3) years of printing experience is required. Offset printing experience is preferred, with a minimum of two (2) years of general printing experience.
SKILLS
Proficient in the operation of departmental printing presses with comprehensive knowledge of bindery equipment, including collators, folders, cutters, and similar machinery.
Solid foundation in mechanical aptitude and computer literacy to support efficient production processes.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow job ticket instructions.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers as needed.
Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
Must be able to handle routine as well as variable tasks in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must also be able to use and manipulate small tools, kneel, crouch/stoop, squat, twist the upper body, bend, and reach/stretch. Additionally, the employee must be able to manipulate a hand dolly and regularly lift and transport materials weighing 70–100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The position requires the ability to differentiate between colors.
