Sr. Systems Administrator

will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and improving the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role involves working across Windows, Azure, and virtualized environments, contributing to projects of varying complexity, and serving as an escalation point for technical issues. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, while aligning IT practices with organizational objectives and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

Manage, configure, and troubleshoot servers, storage, and networking equipment, including Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025), Active Directory, ADFS, and Group Policy. Administer and secure Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments. Maintain virtualization platforms, including VMware, Hyper‑V, and Azure‑local environments. Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for service interruptions. Conduct OS configuration, server hardware maintenance, patching, and software distribution. Manage backups and disaster recovery processes using tools such as Rubrik and Azure. Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and applications. Support Office 365 environments, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and spam management. Work with Intune and other mobile device management platforms to ensure security and compliance. Automate routine tasks and administrative processes using scripting. Configure and maintain IIS, SSL certificates, SAN infrastructure, enterprise switches, and firewalls. Respond to and resolve escalated tickets, collaborating with internal teams and external service providers. Participate in on‑call rotation to support a 24/7 operational environment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related field preferred. 5+ years of relevant IT experience. Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure administration and security. Familiarity with networking concepts, storage systems, and enterprise hardware. Relevant certifications (Azure, networking, storage, virtualization) preferred. Personal Attributes

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a collaborative approach. Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Initiative‑driven and proactive, ensuring follow‑through on projects and tasks. Flexible and willing to work outside standard business hours when needed.
