Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Sr. Technical Recruiter at Briggs & Stratton
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be performing engineering tasks under moderate guidance and be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the production of sheet metal components and systems. Key duties include creating detailed CAD drawings and specifications, performing cost and material analysis, ensuring products meet quality standards, and collaborating with manufacturing to resolve issues and optimize designs. Responsibilities
Conducts and/or specifies moderately complex tests using techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems; prepares technical reports based on results Applies advanced computer-aided engineering analysis techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to concept analysis, business case, product development, pre-production and post launch steps; recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve more complex problems Compiles and analyzes test results; formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations Provides liaison support between the engineering department and manufacturing Supports supplier selection and interaction Recommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters Contributes to the development of engineering test standards where applicable Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures and other internal engineering standards and systems Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software Knowledge of engineering systems Knowledge of company and competitor’s products and technical abilities of suppliers Well-developed understanding of company processes and procedures including, but not limited to new product development process Strong interpersonal skills Well-developed written communication skills necessary for technical report writing Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Required Experience Requirements
Three years of professional engineering experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing setting, preferably working in sheet and fabrication Prior experience with internal combustion engines preferred Physical & Environmental Requirements
May require travel of a scheduled or urgent nature to review applications, discuss problems, visit suppliers / customers, trade shows, etc. Equal Employment Opportunity
