Packaging Technician
Location: Tampa, FL | Salary range: $38,400.00 – $57,600.00

Job Summary Manage production lines to meet the established production schedule in accordance with SOPs and GMPs while monitoring product to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor high‑speed equipment for assembly, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
Apply 5S and cGMP principles and maintain cGMP compliance throughout all areas of responsibility.
Prepare batch records, document production volumes, and ensure accurate data entry.
Conduct in‑process inspections, reconcile components and products, and perform line clearances and change‑overs.
Clean packaging rooms, machinery, and maintain housekeeping in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
Coordinate with Maintenance and other departments to resolve mechanical and quality issues.
Accept or reject products based on cGMP, customer requirements, and SOPs.
Perform additional duties as assigned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assume full authority to make decisions required to carry out job duties while complying with company policies and regulations.
Regulated Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including FDA, ISO 13485, MDD, CMDR, OSHA, EPA, DOT, EEOC, and ADA.
Support environmental, health, and safety requirements and promote safe work practices.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a high‑speed production environment.
Experience in a GMP regulated environment preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
Aseptic production experience preferred.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and excellent hand‑eye coordination.
Strong math skills and ability to perform basic calculations.
Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
Follow work instructions and train others when required.
Computer literacy with Windows, Microsoft Office, and capable of learning new systems.
Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours and adapt to changing business needs.
Physically able to stand, walk continuously, and lift up to 40 lbs (men) and 35 lbs (women).
Comply with gowning requirements (hairnets, beard covers, safety shoes, goggles, safety glasses).
Interpret work instructions independently and maintain safe, efficient operations.
Principal Accountabilities
50% – Assist with packaging of product, perform set‑ups and change‑overs on equipment, monitor quality, and maintain housekeeping.
30% – Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, verify batch records and packaging specifications.
20% – Participate in team meetings, provide input on process improvements, and mentor less experienced team members.
Additional Information
Maximum pay rate: $20 per hour.
