Responsibilities As a Produce Clerk you will:
Handle, prepare, and merchandise fresh produce, ensuring presentation, facing, filling, and organization adhere to Store schematics.
Maintain proper inventory control, maximize product freshness, and rotate merchandise continuously.
Trimming, watering, and merchandising of products to keep the department attracting and satisfying customers.
Answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner.
Perform tasks as required under a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Help meet safety, health, OSHA, and Weights & Measures regulations.
Team members under 18 are restricted from the following tasks:
Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
Using a ladder
Operating a garbage or cardboard compactor
Operating any motor‑powered equipment (including pallet jacks)
Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.
Qualifications
At least 16 years of age.
Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule.
Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Respectful, ethical, and collaborative team player.
Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. for up to 10–50 hours without mechanical assistance.
Willingness to walk up to 5 miles in an 8‑hour shift.
Adherence to all safety regulations.
Ability to perform related duties as assigned.
