Established Private Practice Seeks Additional Pediatric Provider

We are an independent primary care clinic with constellations of specialty care including infant feeding and behavioral health.

Data driven – our diagnosis is a starting point, interventions/treatments provide data, and we adjust based on results

Accessible – remaining contracted with commercial payers and Medicaid, facilitating low-friction communication

Proactive – focus on education and prevention, including anticipatory guidance, safety teaching, oral health, immunizations, and non-pharmaceutical interventions for infectious diseases

Fiscal health to support the livelihoods of the providers and the longevity of the practice

Our ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with kids and families, communicates clearly and compassionately, and remains relentlessly curious about the mysteries patients present. Our practice is diverse, and our providers and staff must be affirming of queer and neurodiverse families and individuals. We remain COVID-cautious and require everyone in our clinic 2+ to wear a high quality mask. Our immunization recommendations align with the AAP and West Coast Health Alliance.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Growing an existing panel of pediatric primary care patients

Utilizing a comprehensive EHR to manage patient care (AthenaHealth)

Maintaining clear, accurate and complete documentation of all clinical information and updating patient records in a timely manner

Placing appropriate orders, referrals, prescription refills and completing other administrative tasks post-visit

Supervising medical assistants’ clinical work and assisting with seasonal vaccine clinics

Accurately coding services

Conducting visits in person and via telehealth (telehealth visits may be done from home)

Sharing after-hours call with the other providers

Other duties as needed to ensure consistent patient care

Required Qualifications:

Pediatric nurse practitioner, or MD/DO board certified or board eligible in pediatrics

ARNP - at least two years of relevant pediatric clinical experience. FNP considered with significant pediatric experience.

Active license to practice and prescribe in Washington State

Must be able to obtain and maintain DEA registration

Must be able to obtain and maintain professional liability policy

Adherence to clinic policies on masking and other safety practices

Typical Clinic Day :

8-12 patients with a mix of well child visits, acute/sick visits, specialty evaluations and follow ups. Currently well child visits are 45-60 minutes and acutes are 15-30 minutes.

Pre-set schedule based on your preferences – length of visits, timing and length of lunch, start and end times (within staff availability constraints)

We Provide:

Collaborative practice with backup from experienced providers

Clinical support staff – medical assistant to room patients, draw up and administer vaccines, assist with procedures

Internal and external referrals

Opportunities to explore and develop your own interest areas

Assistance with credentialing and contracting with Medicaid and private insurance companies

Assistance with coding (CPT, ICD10)

Revenue cycle management (we take care of billing once you do the coding)

Revenue-based compensation in a W2 position. Compensation for services starts at 50%. Open to other compensation models.
