Responsibilities
Perform basic yard driver and dispatcher responsibilities in a manner that meets company standards for safety, quality, productivity, and accuracy.
Learn and perform yard driver duties including:
Loading and unloading trailers, docking and moving trailers on the yard
Driving over the road to other facilities including off‑site warehouses as needed
Adhering to DOT regulations and submitting to an annual physical and random drug screening
Replenishment driving, full pallet picking, put‑aways, and trailer loading
Performing tasks required of warehouse drivers, including:
Accurately processing orders that require the use of powered forklift equipment, covering replenishment, full pallet picking, put‑away, and trailer loading/unloading, as well as general production support
Working in any production area as needed
Providing attention to detail to ensure timely order processing, accurate inventory counts, superior customer service, and a safe and clean working environment
Maintain a safe work environment by watching for foot traffic, following standards and procedures, and complying with operating policies and regulations
Wear all required safety PPE and operate all work duties in a safe manner following proper procedures
Keep the work area organized and clean
Requirements
Must possess and maintain a Class A—CDL license
Must be able to qualify for and maintain a forklift license
Ability to work well in a team environment; flexibility to work in a variety of areas is essential
Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail, including speed and accuracy in counting and verification
HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
6 months of relevant experience
Essential Functions
Considerable physical effort lifting and moving materials of average and heavy weight continuously and frequently
Ability to walk long distances and stand on feet all day
Able to bend, stretch, and reach low and high places frequently
Push buttons on computer and RF guns
Go up and down multiple levels inside and outside the plant
Lift light weight objects or material overhead occasionally
Ability to work in high places of 35–40 ft and look up to high places by bending neck
Pass eye test
