Legal Document Specialist - 2nd Shift (Hybrid) at RR Donnelley

Location & Shift Phoenix, Arizona, United States – Full Time

Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am (2nd Shift) Pay: $19.19 /hour plus $2 shift differential

Hybrid Schedule 3 days on site and 2 days remote (eligible post 90‑day probation period)

Job Summary We are seeking a Word Processing professional to support time‑sensitive project requests by working with a team of individuals across multiple shifts and locations. Candidates must enjoy producing quality work and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Knowledge in legal word/document processing using various legal software and tools, and strong Microsoft Office skills are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and format legal documents to firm specifications using a variety of software applications.

Convert, clean and format documents to/from different file formats.

Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested.

Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents.

Perform data entry using various software applications.

Transcribe analog or digital dictation files.

Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary.

Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries.

Complete all assigned jobs by the deadline in an accurate and timely manner.

Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.

Follow established policies and procedures at all times.

Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in legal word processing or document production preferred.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required.

Experience with legal word processing tasks such as creating TOAs and TOCs, inserting automated cross‑references, converting PDFs to Word, applying Word styles using macros, and troubleshooting complex document markups.

Transcription experience a plus.

Knowledge of legal terminology and citations preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Flexibility to work overtime as required.

Ability to work through complex legal document markups in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy.

Ability to prioritize various requests and deadlines simultaneously.
