GearLocker
GearLocker is seeking an energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our revenue growth efforts. Successful BDRs are proactive, goal-oriented, and motivated by results, with a genuine interest in both selling and the value of our product.
This role is a great fit for someone early in their sales career (0–2 years of experience) who wants hands‑on exposure at a growing SaaS company. We’re experiencing strong momentum and have ambitious growth plans for the year ahead — making this a prime opportunity for motivated sales professionals ready to make an impact.
About GearLocker GearLocker is a modern asset and inventory management platform purpose-built for sports organizations — from youth clubs to high schools to colleges. Our software helps coaches, equipment managers, and athletic directors ditch spreadsheets and streamline how they manage gear, uniforms, and budgets. GearLocker is currently used by organizations at all levels including Lincoln Public Schools, Briar Cliff University and Boyd‑Buchanan.
What You’ll Do We’re hiring a driven, sports‑minded Sales Development Representative to help build a predictable outbound engine. You’ll play a critical role in creating pipeline, refining messaging, and setting the tone for how GearLocker shows up to the market.
Your Core Responsibilities
Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, and personalized outreach
Book qualified demos for our sales team and help fill the top of the funnel
Manage activity tracking and contact data in our CRM
Collaborate with the founding team to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategies
Represent GearLocker with energy, purpose, and empathy
Travel to industry conferences and events up to 10 times per year to support brand presence and lead generation
What We’re Looking For
1‑2 years in a SaaS SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role
Passion for sports — ideally with experience in high school, club, or college athletics
Comfortable with cold calling and objection handling
Interest in startups and working closely with a small, fast‑moving team
Strong communication skills and ability to stay organized in a high‑activity environment
Willingness to be in our Omaha office during the first few months (hybrid flexibility after ramp)
Openness to travel for conferences and field events (up to 10 × per year)
