Account Manager, Sports - New York

Base pay range : $85,000 – $115,000 per year (plus sales incentive commission eligible).
Work with the driven and highly motivated One Platform Ad Sales organization of NBCUniversal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies.
Responsibilities
Support the full sales cycle, spearheading proposals through execution.
Be responsible for managing and developing client relationships.
Proactively identify strategic approaches for new or incremental opportunities and upsell products and services.
Contribute to revenue, advertiser education and satisfaction through trusted client relationships.
Deliver a best‑in‑class partnership experience for NBCU advertising clients and their campaigns.
Maintain a high standard of operational excellence while executing effective, performance‑driven campaigns.
Leverage strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a focus on continual improvement and learning.
Build and manage relationships with existing and potential clients and agencies; actively grow industry relationships to gain marketplace intelligence.
Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to drive incremental revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction.
Support day‑to‑day client deliverables across the pre‑sale and post‑sale lifespan of campaigns; lead communication for all internal deliverables related to client and sales support.
Collaborate with teams such as Pricing, Inventory, Ad Ops and Measurement to ensure successful campaign executions and troubleshoot client issues.
Analyze data to understand trends, communicate the “why” behind results, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
Develop campaign strategies and audience targeting recommendations.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of NBCU features and audience trends, and serve as an external product expert, educating clients on new and existing ad solutions and advising on best practices to achieve advertiser KPIs.
Qualifications
3+ years of planning and/or account management/ client service experience in the media industry.
Experience contributing to revenue, advertiser education, and advertiser satisfaction.
Passion for data, process, customer success and working cross‑functionally with stakeholders.
Ability to foster strong internal and external relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills; experienced presenter and negotiator.
Self‑starter capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Deadline‑driven and process‑oriented; comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic, growing business.
Strong analytical reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
Additional Requirements Hybrid: This position is designated hybrid, generally requiring presence in the office at least four days per week.
