The Greystone Inn – Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. The Greystone Inn, a premier luxury destination nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of Lake Toxaway, seeks an accomplished Executive Chef to lead our culinary program and set the tone for exceptional dining experiences.
What You'll Do
Lead all culinary operations across the Inn, including dining outlets, private events, and special programs.
Develop and execute seasonal, inspired menus that align with the Inn's luxury brand and regional identity.
Recruit, train, and mentor a high‑performing kitchen team; build culture, accountability, and pride.
Oversee food quality, consistency, and presentation at the highest standards.
Manage food cost, labor, inventory, and budgeting with an operational lens.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Collaborate closely with ownership and leadership to continuously elevate the guest experience.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a luxury hotel, inn, or upscale restaurant.
Strong leadership presence – calm under pressure, decisive, and people‑first.
Deep understanding of classic techniques with a modern, refined approach.
Experience managing budgets, food cost controls, and labor efficiency.
Passion for mentoring teams and building sustainable kitchen operations.
