Responsibilities
Collect, manage, and review all real estate due diligence documents from third parties including ordering and reviewing lien searches, facilitating lien releases, ordering title and survey, and reviewing third‑party reports.
Review title chain encumbrance documents, including easements and leases, and advise clients on how to handle them during the real estate diligence review process.
Review draft title proformas and settlement statements.
Review and advise clients on recommended title policy endorsements.
Function as a liaison between brokers, title companies, lenders, internal team members, and other third parties to facilitate timely closings.
Coordinate closings with title companies and assist in providing all documents required for closing.
Obtain corporate status documents, including Certificates of Good Standing and certified Articles of Organization, from state authorities.
Maintain files of all relevant documents in an organized system.
Facilitate closing checklists and critical dates of the closing timeline.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
3‑5 years experience in a law firm or similar professional environment.
Knowledge of iManage/FileSite or comparable document sharing software.
Knowledge of Aderant or similar time‑keeping software.
Ability to read and understand legal terminology.
