
Murray Motors in Muncy is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join our team. Parts Advisors serve as parts experts, helping our customers and service technicians obtain the parts that they need to complete maintenance and repairs as well as overseeing our parts inventory. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, with a broad knowledge of automotive parts and a customer service mindset!
Responsibilities And Duties
The ideal candidate will assist customers with identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories while providing excellent service and technical expertise
Greet customers (in-person and by phone) and provide friendly, professional assistance
Identify the correct parts and accessories using catalogs, databases, and customer information
Create parts quotes, process orders, and provide pricing and availability
Assist service technicians with obtaining parts
Maintain knowledge of current parts inventory, warranties, and return policies
Monitor special orders and follow up with customers on order status
Maintain organized parts displays, bins, and stockroom areas
Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and stocking shelves
Upsell related parts, accessories, and services when appropriate
Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Complete other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
Strong understanding of automotive systems and components
Proficiency with parts catalog systems and dealership management software
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks
