Position: Transit Advertising Sales Consultant
Department: Administration
Reports To: Director of Marketing and Communications

Shreveport Transit Management, Inc. is a quasi‑governmental instrumentality of the City of Shreveport responsible for managing and operating the Shreveport Area Transit System (SporTran).
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of the Transit Advertising Program.
Establish and maintain relationships with customers, employees, partnering agencies, and stakeholders.
Train staff on how to properly install and remove all media advertisements.
Oversee installation of all advertisements and manage the quality control process.
Work closely with staff and vendors to ensure on‑time and accurate transit advertising campaign installation across multiple mediums, including interior and exterior bus advertising, digital ads, bus benches, and bus shelters.
Work with the Maintenance Management team to ensure the safe removal of all advertisements without damaging vehicles.
Identify and research potential clients and anticipate their advertising needs.
Communicate pricing and terms to clients, negotiate sales and renewals, and prepare advertising proposals and contracts.
Stay engaged with the broader media advertising community within the market.
Track inventory and maintain records of in‑market campaigns and available ad space on all vehicles, shelters, benches, screens, etc.
Oversee printing and production of advertising creatives.
Create and maintain accurate campaign records and documentation.
Document campaign installations and provide proof of completion to customers.
Prepare monthly progress reports for leadership.
Perform related duties as required.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and meet deadlines
Detail‑oriented and good organizational skills
Work effectively and efficiently to achieve goals in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, local businesses, and the general public
Ability to compile, analyze, and communicate data
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Must be able to work outside of traditional 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. hours
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualification Candidates for this position are preferred to have a bachelor’s degree or college coursework in advertising, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
COMPENSATION This position offers a competitive base salary of $40,000.

All positions are safety sensitive and require pre‑employment drug testing, background checks, and a clean driving record. Applicants must be able to work flexible shifts.
Require that applicants have a valid driver’s license, no more than two (2) moving violations in the past five years, and no convictions of a serious traffic violation (i.e., DWI, driving with a suspended, canceled, or revoked license) in the past five years.
