Roush
The Engine Builder Senior assembles and builds sub-assemblies, as well as engines designed, manufactured, or serviced by Roush. The role will be responsible for building engines. The Engine Builder Senior will keep detailed records of component data.
As an Engine Builder Senior, you will be responsible for:
Assemble and build any type of engine, following industry standard assembly techniques
Measure components to close tolerances
Set and verify part clearances
Use measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Use of required hand tools
Engine build record keeping with component history data
Process more complex technical projects
Assist and coach junior builders
To be considered an Engine Builder Senior, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years of engine build experience
Ability to operate typical shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.)
Ability to diagnose engine mechanical issues
Must have basic computer skills and excellent organizational skills
Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
Must be flexible and eager to learn
Must pay strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A successful candidate may also have:
Associate degree or post high school education in an automotive related field
Experience with powertrain calibration diagnostics and controls
Ability to complete engine teardown/build skills
Ability to perform simple fabrications
