POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting digital marketing efforts by developing and performing marketing communication initiatives with the overall goals of improving brand awareness of BMI FCU. Works with the Marketing team to coordinate, create, and achieve marketing initiatives through social media, web, and email marketing campaigns and content creation for the website, online, and traditional marketing materials. This position will play an integral role in building and engaging the BMI FCU’s member base and is a back‑up to other functions within the Marketing department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Utilize all tools to improve online presence such as search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing such as Semrush

Build and manage BMI FCU’s social media profiles and presence; monitor and engage in relevant social discussions

Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics, and others used for digital marketing initiatives and to develop, design and execute campaigns; including managing segmentation building journey maps, loading creative, tagging, testing and managing opt outs

Create, prepare, and distribute content for digital and print collateral material including, but not limited to, letters, forms, announcements, website, award submissions, statements, surveys, product user guides, notifications and updates, press releases, newsletters and blog posts

Author and ensure information in all marketing communication channels are approved, accurate, and maintain BMI FCU branding prior to review and submission

Work from editorial calendar to create daily posts to social media channels; monitor social media mentions, responding when appropriate

Perform research to evaluate targets, trends, and effectiveness of marketing strategies; assist with reporting and tracking the analysis of relevant statistics for the marketing plan

Create and produce wide range of marketing collateral across digital and social media platforms

Manage content on website and social media platforms

Improve and perform communications/branding plan to address employee and member communications, business documents branding, advertising and marketing collateral, public relations events, TV/radio broadcasts, and social media marketing content

Assist with establishing a sustainable and strategic approach to public relations (PR) based on adding value to media outlets

Assist with planning and developing concepts for promotions by:

Contribute to the decisions of mediums used to advertise

Develop advertising content and visual materials

Ensure all marketing materials are removed after promotional period has ended

Establish communication and presentations for Preferred Employer Groups (PEGs); advertise events, prepare articles and handouts, and maintain a consistent brand

Create and assist with researching and writing to press contacts in media outlets; coordinate responses to media inquiries and ensure media contact list is current and accurate

Assist VP of Marketing in writing and developing marketing business plan and budget, which aligns with the overall strategic business plan

Maintain availability for emergency communications for unscheduled closings, security and product and service issues, etc.

Communicate with all employees about promotions, new products, advertising campaigns, and collateral materials, to ensure that everyone is up to date on Credit Union marketing programs

Serve as a primary contact with vendors to ensure services provided are in the scope of specific conditions

Responsible for the integrity of the brand standards

Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to Marketing and Communications

Ensure that the VP of Marketing is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the marketing function

Assist with managing Marketing project schedules and milestones

Write and evaluate procedures for the department

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Marketing, or related field preferred

A minimum of 3-5 years related experience; a viable combination of experience and education will be considered

Knowledge of web design and search engine optimization best practices

Understanding of how to drive lead conversion using digital marketing platforms such as Google Adwords and Facebook Advertising

Google Analytics Individual Qualification Certificate preferred

Previous Credit Union and/or banking experience preferred

Strong written and oral communication skills; with a strong emphasis on copywriting and editing

Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

Proficient with social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and monitoring social media conversations

Ability to use PC and computer systems: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office products; design software is preferred but not required

Ability to analyze current market trends

Ability to develop brand and product content

Knowledge of marketing and communications strategy

Skills in project management

Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential members

Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to marketing, solicitation, and privacy

Ability to perform mathematical functions and computations; analyze, interpret, and prepare statistical data

Advanced problem‑solving skills

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Skills in organization and planning

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
